Today I am sharing some recipes which you will enjoy. This year Janmashtami falls on August 12th 2020.

I am sharing a few fasting food recipes, across India Sabudana (sago or Tapioca pearl) is common fasting food. Let’s make some of our very favorite fasting food \s - one for sure is Sabudana khichdi, Sabudana-Vada, new twisted Farali Dosa and Singhada sheera (water-chestnuts).

Let's begain making Prasad :

Singhada no sheero:  (Sheero made from Singhada):

Festivals provide a perfect occasion to indulge in all the sweet delights and savouries. One such dish that is a must-have for any celebrations is, Singhada Sheera. 7. Serve hot.

Farali Dosa:

Dosa are thin crepes which are usually made out of rice and lentil mixture, however during upvas (fasting) both of these ingredients are prohibited, and hence here is a twisted dosa recipe, which is made out of sabudana and samo (echinochloa colona). Crispy, crunchy crepes are best for lunch or snack time during fasting.

  • Sabudana (sago): ¼ cup

  1. Soak samo and sabudana separately for about 30min in warm water.

  2. 1st grind sabudana with no to little water, add samo and grind all together till it becomes a good paste like pancakes.

  3. Add salt, ginger/garlic paste and mix all together.
